Develop and implement environmental laws and/or rules as they related to source of air pollution. Write air quality permits. Permits need to be technically and legally correct and complete as well as issued within the required time frame. For a permit to meet the above conditions it must be based on the following: 1. Engineering and scientific principles, 2. Federal and State rules and regulations 3. DEQ and DAQ policies and procedures. A quality permit will provide the regulated source with the information needed to comply with the requirements of a permit. A well developed and written Air Quality permit will be consistent, understandable, and enforceable, and based on state and federal regulations.

Advanced degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
Experience developing state implementation plans as they pertain to industrial sources of air pollution; working with legislative bodies to develop environmental laws and/or rules, implementation of environmental laws and/or rules, analysis of control effectiveness for air pollution sources designed to meet emissions limits specified in a State Implementation Plan, development of emissions limits for use in a State Implementation Plan, Experience working with staff from the EPA on air pollution control plans.
