Description
The System Administrator position consists of performing duties related to day-to-day administration of Microsoft server/AD environment. This position requires a high level of quality, customer service and communication. This position is a non-exempt, full-time position that reports directly to the TeleData Operations Manager.
This position is directly responsible for the handling of installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration. Confers with appropriate managers regarding troubleshooting and capabilities of MS Active directory Environment. Position is directly responsible for day-to-day management of the server operating system, file structure and directory services. Assists users to diagnose and solve data communication problems; monitor server performance and provide security measures providing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. Establish user accounts, regulating and monitoring file access to ensure confidentiality and proper use. Direct the installation of operating systems, network or application software or computer or network hardware; creating builds and configuring the server. Perform data backups and disaster recovery options; conduct hardware and/or software tests; support and maintain Exchange, IIS, FTP and application server environments. Also handles software distribution and updates. Develops and provides documentation regarding design specifications, installation instructions and other system related information. This position may be assigned and assist with other work and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Requires Associates degree in related field with 2-5 years professional experience including MCSE or equivalent. Must be organized, punctual, and self motivated. Requires strong customer service skills. AutoCAD experience is a plus. Requires the ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of moderately difficult assignments. Work includes pressure generated by deadlines, volume of work, and frequent interruptions.
This position requires a valid Utah Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment.
